God Ekes Out A “Win” At Democrat Convention
By Gary L. Bauer
As we told you yesterday, the Democrats’ platform is radical and hostile to Middle American values. The major media and Democrat politicians initially laughed at us for pointing out that God had been dumped from their platform. But by the end of the day, their hair was on fire as it became apparent that their moderate camouflage had been stripped away.
The Alternative Universe and the Media Feedback Loop
By Erick Erickson
Yesterday in Charlotte the Democratic National Convention began as amateurishly as President Obama’s first term has been. Three times Mayor Villaraigosa of Los Angeles tried to get a majority of Democratic delegates to agree to add God and Jerusalem back into the Democratic Platform. Three times he failed. But on the third time, he declared he heard a two-thirds vote for changing the platform. Debbie Wasserman Schultz lied again saying there was no fight and called it a “technical change”, but the Democratic delegates booed putting God and his holy city back into the Democratic Platform.

By Jeff Emanuel
Evidently the poor professional press is finding the 2012 slog less than fully enjoyable. ”If there is one narrative to anchor what often feels like a plotless 2012 campaign,” writes Dylan Byers in a Politico article titled “Reporters: We Loathe 2012 Campaign,” it’s ” media disillusionment.” His first citation is of New York Times Magazine‘s Mark Leibovich, who wondered “How am I ever going to get through [the 2012 campaign]?” in an August 29 article entitled “Feel the Loathing on the Campaign Trail.”
Politico Fires a Shot Across Obama’s Bow with ‘Egotistical, Selfish, Dull’ Headline
By Jeff Emanuel
Under the improbable headline “Media: Obama is egotistical, selfish, dull,” Politico‘s Dylan Byers noted Monday that over the Labor Day weekend, “major media outlets…lobb[ed] five high-profile bombs at the incumbent.” The article itself isn’t as noteworthy as the title, which is particularly eye-catching from a political publication whose left-leaning orientation is well known.

Sex Trafficking At The Conventions
By Breeanne Howe
As thousands gathered last week for the Republican National Convention and will this week for the Democratic National Convention, another major story goes largely unreported right outside the convention doors. As is the case with other large events, sex trafficking will spike in the convention cities and local efforts to fight the problem may partially be in vain.Nonprofit groups in Tampa, Florida and Charlotte, North Carolina, have been working closely with law enforcement to prepare for young women and children who will be brought into their cities to be exploited.
